Welcome to Mingalarama Buddhist Library (MBL)
Objectives
To promote learning of Buddhist doctrines from the written texts, receive Buddhist wisdom and knowledge from the teachers; to foster the study and teaching of Burmese literature and share Burmese social life and customs with friends and society.
Collections
At the present including the printed set of the TIPITAKA, the MBL has hundreds of selective titles for reference on Buddhism and related subjects in Pali and Burmese languages, many of which are sets of classical and out of print volumes such as commentaries of well known teachers of Buddhism from Burma on the long and medium length discourses, commentaries on Abhidhamma-pitaka – the higher teaching of the Buddha as well as Jataka or Stories of the Buddha and books of notable Burmese fictional, non-fictional writers. MBL also has CDs and tapes of well known venerable monks' dhamma talks, books for kids and periodicals magazines and journals.
